(Associate) Director Clinical Development (m/f/d)

Deine Aufgaben
  • Creation and Maintenance of Clinical Development Plans
  • Strategic and scientific planning and development of early and late phase clinical activities from protocol design to final reporting with special emphasis on PK/PD
  • Interactions with key opinion leaders
  • Lead and coordinate external suppliers, such as CROs or external consultants from setting the scope of work to delivering on agreed upon objectives
  • Project planning and monitoring of timelines and budgets for early development department
  • Medical writing of regulatory (e.g. investigators brochures) and scientific documents (e.g. publications)
Dein Profil
  • Master degree in medicine or science or comparable education, PhD in medicine /science desirable
  • Minimum 5-7 years relevant experience within pharmaceutical industry.
  • Relevant skills & knowledge
    • Good working knowledge of clinical trial conduct
    • GCP
    • Medical writing of regulatory and scientific documents
    • Management of external vendors
    • Strong sense of responsibility
    • Attention to detail
  • Ability to connect with internal departments and external partners
  • Proven track record in innovation and development
  • Excellent Project Management Skill
  • Good self-management
  • Business fluent in English
  • Fluency in German and/or other EU languages is helpful
  • Excellent organisation and communication skills
Desirable relevant skills:
  • 5 years experience with design and conduct of clinical trials 
  • Pharmacokinetic / Pharmacodynamic simulation and modelling 
  • Knowledge in critical care / anaesthesiology

Your tasks
  • Creation and Maintenance of Clinical Development Plans

  • Interactions with key opinion leaders
  • Lead and coordinate external suppliers, such as CROs or external consultants from setting the scope of work to delivering on agreed upon objectives
  • Project planning and monitoring of timelines and budgets for early development department
  • Medical writing of regulatory (e.g. investigators brochures) and scientific documents (e.g. publications)
  • Preferably 1-2 days/week in Aachen, 3 days home office
  • Occasional business trips mostly within Europe are expected
  • Occasional business trips to local Paion offices
Your profile
